Cottage to Marks Point private beach 10 minutes by car

The cottage is NOT waterfront. It is located on one hundred acres of private property and a seven minute walk to Thunder Beach. Also, guests have use of our private 2 acre WATERFRONT property and beach at Marks Point, a ten minute drive from the cottage. Marks Point has a beautiful beach and crystal clear water incredible for swimming! Thunder Beach is a stunning sand beach!

Description

The cottage is located on a dead end road making it extremely quiet and peaceful. It is also located on a hundred acre massive parcel of land. The cottage has three bedrooms, a den and a living room. The master bedroom has a double size bed. The second bedroom has a double size bed. The third bedroom also has a double sized bed. The living room is equipped with a sofa bed. There is a 55 inch smart television with DVD in the living room. The cottage has a high end cherry and maple wood kitchen. It is equipped with a full size fridge, full size oven, four burner cooktop, washer/dryer, plates, cups, bowls, cutlery, pots, pans, coffee machine, toaster and microwave. The cottage also has a wood burning stove with a glass viewing door. The bathroom is a three piece with a bathtub/shower. There is also an outdoor patio with furniture and a propane barbecue.

 

An incredible feature of this cottage is it allows our guests to use our private waterfront located ten minutes away by car. This private waterfront is gated and we will provide a key. Our private waterfront on Marks Point, the western extent of Thunder Beach, is a massive 2.2 acres of private land with 176 feet of shoreline. The size of the property provides a wilderness feel and is one of the best swimming places with its ultra clear and clean water! Marks Point is equipped with two lounge chairs, two chairs and a table for comfort while enjoying those fantastic summer days. This property is truly remarkable for the seclusion it offers and is only 90 minutes from Toronto!
The cottage is a seven minute walk to the public access at Thunder Beach. Thunder Beach offers great swimming and a stunning sand beach.

Please bring your own beach towels.
Wifi is provided.
Outdoor furniture is put away in the off season (Nov 21 to May 1). Barbecue is left outside year round.
Firewood is not included.
Marks Point is not maintained in the winter. No snow removal is done at Marks Point
Snowshoe rentals available at $15 a day. Don't forget to bring your snow boots, ski gloves, snow pants, jackets and hats!

Pet Fee 
The pet fee for the cottage is $50, this includes up to two pets. Every additional pet is $25. Cats and dogs only.
 
Damage Deposit
- We require a refundable $500.00 security deposit. All we ask for a full refund is that you return the cottage to the way you found it.

Booking:
- If you decide to book, we will email you our contract and outline the dates you have chosen. After we have received  payment we will email your confirmation of booking. Summer bookings made before May 1st require 50% payment to hold booking. Please contact us anytime at our home/work telephone number.
-Bookings are not confirmed until we receive the 50% deposit before May1st or after May 1st the full payment.

House Rules:

OCCUPANCY
•    Maximum SIX PEOPLE TOTAL COLLECTIVELY at both of our properties at any time. Day guests are to be included in this six people rule. This means if SIX people are on the properties you cannot invite 1 person to stay the night or visit for the day.
•    Bringing more guests than the stated upon number at the time of booking will result in the extra guest(s) being asked to leave or the entire booking cancelled without refund at our discretion.
•    Guest must accurately indicate how many adults, children and pets will be attending the cottage.
PETS
• Guests must indicate in the "reservation detail” section that they will be bringing pets. The pet fee allows up to two pets to attend the cottage. If you would like to bring more than two pets, approval prior to booking is required.
•    Pet(s) are not permitted on furniture. 
•    Guests are responsible for pet’s damages.
•    Please do not leave pet(s) unattended. 
•    Only cats and dogs are permitted at the cottage.
Guests must pick up all pet waste on the property. Otherwise, a cleaning fee may be applied.
SMOKING
•    Smoking or candles are not permitted inside the cottage. You may smoke on the patio and at the fire pit only. 
•    Please leave extinguished cigarette butts in steel can on deck or in the fire pit.
•    Please do not dispose of cigarettes anywhere else on the property. It is a fire hazard and very time consuming to retrieve cigarette butts that have been discarded on the grounds.
GARBAGE, RECYCLING AND ORGANICS
•    Guests are allowed to leave one garbage bag per week. 
•    Please sort your garbage, recycling and compost in separate bins. Sorting fees will be charged (5.00 dollars per bin) for separating garbage and recyclables if they are not sorted.
FIRES
•        Fireworks are not permitted at anytime at Marks Point or at the cottage 
•    Fires are only permitted at the designated fire pit and or the interior woodstove. Fires are not permitted elsewhere or at Marks Point. 
•    Please do not remove the ashes or burned wood from the fire pit and or the indoor wood stove. 
•    Please completely extinguish fires when not attended.
•    No fires when winds exceed 10km/h.
•    Outdoor fires in fire pit must follow Tiny Township municipal bylaws.
•    Fires are only permitted as long as there is no fire ban in effect. It is the responsibility of the guest to make sure there is no fire ban in effect. Please visit www.tiny.ca to verify if there is a fire ban in effect. The penalties for having a fire during a fire ban are very serious and the municipality will summons the booking guest to appear in court.
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
•    Check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Please check out on time.
•    Please lock doors at check out and leave keys in lock box.
MARKS POINT
•    No walking/climbing on the break wall (stone pile extending into lake). Rocks may not be secure and could result in injury.
•    Please do not litter the beach (this includes cigarette butts). Please help keep our beach beautiful!
•    Do not throw rocks in the lake. Do not launch golf balls in the lake.
•    Any garbage, cigarette butts or mess left on the beach is subject to a cleaning fee. 
CLEANING
•    Please return the cottage to the way you found it level of cleanliness. If the cottage requires excessive you will be charged for additional cleaning fees at a rate of 40.00 per hour. Cleaning fees paid at time of booking only cover sanitization of the cottage.
DAMAGE OR BRAKAGE
•    Please report any damages and/or breakage right away through the website or email you booked with.
•    Please be respectful of neighbors.
NOISE
•    No loud sounds outside between 9 PM to 8 AM. No Amplified music at any time at the cottage or at Marks Point
OTHER
•    No unlicensed motorized vehicles, ATV’s, power boats and dirt bikes are permitted on property unless authorized by Patrick (owner) by written permission. 
•    Do not excessively drive on our lawn. 
•    Please only flush toilet paper as we have a septic system.
•    Do not remove branches from trees. Do not drill, nail or screw into trees, this could harm the health of our trees.  
•    All windows must be left closed and latched while heat or air conditioning is on.
•    Please always immediately dry off wood surfaces after getting them wet including our hardwood floors, butcher block countertop, window sills and tables. Leaving wood surfaces wet for an extended amount of time could damage the surface and result in damage fees.
